Why We RSVP: How Registration Helps Bring in Guests and Members

In this video, I explain the strategy behind requiring guests to register before they attend meetings. You could see that as putting a hurdle in the way of attendance, but I argue that getting them to make a micro-commitment to attending makes it more likely they will show up. We also gather guestbook information we can use to follow up with them before and after the meeting. Toward the end of the video, I also cover tools for converting guests into paid members.

Integration with speaking.app's Timer and Ah Counter Tools

Bjarte Sunde, the software developer behind the speaking.app tools for speakers and speech coaches, contacted me recently to discuss how we might work together, and we already have a working prototype. Here is where it shows up within Toastmost.

If you grant access, speaking.app can pull role and speech timing info from your Toastmost site to use within its app.

Toastmost has its own timer, including one built into the mobile app, but I'm happy to give you another choice. Meanwhile, I have no plans to add an Ah Counter tool, so check our his version and see if you find it useful. Speaking app also offers AI powered speech feedback and pro features for speech coaches.
