Digital ballot for hybrid and in person meetings, not just Zoom
If you've ever visited Online Presenters Toastmasters when I was vote counter, I've asked you to to vote on best speaker and other awards using a digital ballot link -- which I find much easier than trying to tally up private messages sent via chat.
One new feature of the voting tool is the option to include a QR code on the printable agendas for in person or hybrid meetings so people can call up the ballot on their phones.
Here's how that all works:
Reminder to print speech introductions
The Toastmost agenda software aims to help clubs organize their agendas more effectively, and prompting members to add the details they want the Toastmaster to read when introducing them is part of that. However, gathering the information is only half the battle -- the Toastmaster of the Meeting also has to make use of it.
One way we've often fallen short at my home club is that the person responsible for printing the agendas will not also print the introductions, and the Toastmaster of the Day doesn't think to do so or doesn't know where to find it.
Here is how I'm trying to do a better job of prompting whoever is in charge of printing the agendas to also print the speech introductions. In the case of an online meeting where printing the agendas isn't as relevant, a link from the agenda to the introductions is also displayed.
