Over the weekend, I went through a process of updating the documentation knowledge base and moving it from wp4toastmasters.org (the original website for the open source software project) to toastmost.org (which represents the brand for the hosted service).
In the process of this migration, I've updated a lot of content and hope to do more in the coming months. Let me know if you see gaps in what's published. Reminder: I'm always looking for volunteers to help with documentation and video tutorials. Maybe a High Performance Leadership Project for someone?
A few new or updated articles you might want to check out:
- Handling exceptions to your regular meeting schedule - how to announce when you are NOT meeting.
- WordPress basics: how to add and edit navigation menu links.
- Agenda setup and customization, covers new ways of customizing your meeting agenda pages to meet both visitor and member needs.
- Email forwarders for officers and custom lists.
The point of the knowledge base is to preserve and organize information that's of lasting value as opposed to blog posts on the latest new and cool thing I'm excited about.
In some cases you may see that articles are tagged as Needs Update, meaning the screenshots or text may be useful but slightly out of date. Alert me if you find features of the website do not work as advertised, or if you can help create better documentation.
