How to Create a Club or District Website on Toastmost.org

Any Toastmaster can create a website on Toastmost.org for their club or district.

Login or Create Account

If you already have a password, follow the link on the home page to sign in and go to the website signup page.

If you are new to Toastmost, you will first sign up for the email list and create a user account with a password. Fill in your name and email and follow the instructions to confirm your email list subscription and set a password.

Once you are able to log in, the email/account signup form will be replaced with a Get a Website button. Click that button to go to the website setup page.

The image below is a preview of what you will see on the setup page. It prompts you to enter a short “subdomain” label for like “myclub” for myclub.toastmost.org. By default, Toastmost websites appear on the web as subdomains of toastmost.org. You can register your own web domain and add it to your site, but that is a separate step.

You will also set a title for your website, which will be the name of your club or district. I recommend not including your club number in the title, but a local club might want to include the city. So “Club Awesome” or “Club Awesome Toastmasters, Coral Springs, Florida,” not “Club Awesome #2445.” The club number can be placed somewhere less prominent on your web design.

The rest of the prompts ask you whether this is a club or district website, the district number and location, and your regular meeting schedule (which will help for setting up meeting agendas). Optionally, you can create “collaborator” accounts for a few other club members who will assist with the site setup.

Choose the design (WordPress theme) that looks closest to the look you would like for your website. You will have the option of changing the theme later or modifying design elements for your chosen theme, including layout, fonts, colors, and the pages included in the navigation menu.

A few minutes after you click the Create Site button, you will receive an email with more instructions. If you don’t receive that email, or something else goes wrong, write to david@toastmost.org.
